Cecil B. Demille may have had his casts of thousands to pull off his wonderful movies, but our Bridgewater Congregational Church Little Theater had a cast and crew that seemed like thousands when you consider that its success was of such Biblical proportions.
When I think of all the time, thought, preparation, energy, effort, work, blood, sweat, and yes, even a few tears went into the culmination of what we saw Saturday evening, my heart swells with admiration and gratitude for all that you have accomplished.
You are all heroes. You cooked, cleaned, served, decorated, wrote scripts, re-wrote scripts, learned lines, learned new lines, studied your characters, created costumes, directed, rehearsed, made beautiful music, built back-drops, hauled props from your houses, set up the stage, contributed wigs, got health permits, did make-up and hair, ran the lights and sound, prompted, donated food, video taped the play, bought needed items, sold ads, wrote press releases, created posters and playbills, stayed up late getting everything done …… the list is endless.
And you did it all with such enthusiasm and grace.
I have never seen so many smiling faces as I saw after the Women of the Bible performance, and it was all because of each of you.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
With love and thanks,
Sharon

What an amazing experience this has been. I've so loved being part of this incredible group and amazing group-effort. As relieved as we all may be that we've pulled it off and we can breathe a bit now, I have to say I'm going to miss you all a lot!
I absolutely adore the wonderful camaraderie of all working together on a big project like this. You all did such fantastic jobs....who knew we had so much talent among us! And to all our supporting cast, crew, galley slaves, decorators, and hardworking staff, thank you, thank you, thank you! Every single person who worked on this show and dinner was vital to its success....and I do believe it was a tremendous success!
I am so truly touched by everyone's dedication and enthusiasm, and so proud of us all for coming together so beautifully and pulling off such a great event for our church. You are all a monumental asset to our church and I feel the breath of new life in the church all around us. For this and all of it, I thank you with all my heart.
I love you all!

Tho' on the "production" end from the kitchen, rather than the stage, I joined in the feelings of pride, fellowship and blessings that came on Saturday night. It was truly one of the most upifting events I have experienced at the BCC, and certainly helps to balanceout some of the more anxious times we have all endured, at one time or another. Let us now focus on keeping the "good times rolling" day to day, week to week, etc. in the more mundane activities of our beloved church family. That is what will be the enduring legacy of a most wonderful Saturday night production!Love to all,
Jane

We were happy to be a part of the show. It was a success by any measure.

I found my heart "strangely warmed" as John Wesley might say, by the sight of Bill's giant cross against the light background of our platform wall on Sunday morning. "What if," I found myself musing, "we were to make that THE cross for our church--at least for a while? Just a thought, if only to think of our space, and of the cross itself, in some different ways...Thanks to all of you who made our precious matriarchs and colorful ancestors of faith come alive in that magic hour!

Dear Kim, Thank you so much for sending the fabulous blog piece you put together, letting those of us who couldn't be there in person enjoy it even so! What a delight and exciting church production! Thanks again, Kate Latimer

What a wonderful capture of the spirit, the hard work, the fun and the incredible teamwork that made it all come together. Congratulations on a magnificent depiction of every detail. Thanks Kim!

I did enjoy the blog very much. For a small, country church you certainly have an abundance of talented people who realize that joy comes from sharing ANY talent with others. You were the catalyst that drew them all together. I'm glad your efforts were appreciated.
